Over the years, we have been lucky to hold many great weddings and parties. We are so committed to hosting your special event, the inn has its own wedding and function co-ordinator whose sole role is to take care of every detail to ensure your expectations are fulfilled. The inn is licensed to conduct civil-marriage ceremonies.

The inn is arranged to facilitate an event of almost any size. Two large separate rooms are interconnected by large glazed folding doors, which allow you to use both facilities depending on your needs.

The air-conditioned Garden Room is our largest function room and with its open oak-beamed ceiling and vast glazing, this dining room has splendid views of Boulsworth and the magnificent vista the inn benefits from in its rural hilltop location. With a seated dining capacity of 80, or a buffet / party capacity of between 100 and 120, its own bar and separate entrance to the inn, this is a splendid room to host a wedding reception, private party or special event.

In addition, our Lounge has its own private entrance from the terrace at the front of the inn, and its panelled wall, oak floor, real fires and own bar make it another splendid room to host any event. With a seated dining capacity of 50 or a buffet / party capacity of between 60 and 70, this room is often booked for wedding civil ceremonies, evening receptions, birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, funerals and corporate events. The Lounge is connected to our Garden Room by two large folding doors, combining the capacity of both rooms for larger gatherings.

Many wedding events at the inn combine the use of both the function rooms with the formal civil ceremony taking place in the Lounge, followed by a wedding breakfast in the Garden Room, and a return to the Lounge for the evening celebrations. However, for larger evening gatherings, both rooms can be used together giving a party capacity of up to 200. This is complemented by use of the heated outdoor terrace at the front of the inn, which on a Summer's evening gives even more accommodation. For even larger events, a marquee at either the front or back is also an available option, or the entire inn can be reserved solely for your function.

The inn also has ten very comfortable en-suite bedrooms, including a honeymoon suite, and ground-floor room specifically designed for the less able, making it ideal to accommodate elderly relatives or those who struggle with stairs.

Our Wedding Package

Our wedding co-ordinator will tailor your special day specifically to your individual requirements. Included free of charge, we offer complimentary overnight stay in our honeymoon suite, which is romantically luxurious with red and black décor and a large spa bath with plenty of room for two! We also offer reduced accommodation rates for your guests.

Also included is complimentary use of our cake stand and knife, and to complement your wedding colours, our function room can be appropriately dressed with co-ordinated napkins and flowers as required.

For evening receptions, our licence is extended until 1.30am.

Menu Options

Our aim is to produce seriously good food for every occasion, whatever the size of the party. To ensure quality and a high standard of service, we recommend you select one starter, one main course and one dessert when planning your event, with the options of a vegetarian alternative and an additional dessert for children, however we are happy to accommodate any requirement.
